I've figured experiences enable the fastest growth and make me content.

I seek to collect the most experiences I care for throughout my lifetime.

I make the decisions for which I reasonably predict will enable most such experiences.

Still, sometimes I need to remind myself of that and move out of comfort zone. The below quotes proved to be most effective:

  1. Sean Carroll (The Big Picture): Our lives are not dress rehearsals in which we plan and are tested in anticipation of the real show to come. THIS IS IT, THE ONLY PERFORMANCE WE’RE GOING TO GET TO GIVE, and it is what we make of it.
  2. Anonymous: LAST DAY YOU HAVE ON EARTH, THE PERSON YOU BECAME WILL MEET THE PERSON YOU COULD HAVE BECOME.
  3. Friedrich Nietzsche (Thus spoke Zarathustra): Would you be willing to relive your life 1000-times exactly as you have lived?
  4. William B. Irvine (Guide to good life): THERE WILL BE—OR ALREADY HAS BEEN!—A LAST TIME IN YOUR LIFE THAT YOU BRUSH YOUR TEETH, CUT YOUR HAIR, DRIVE A CAR, HEAR THE SOUND OF SNOW FALLING, WATCH THE MOON RISE, OR MAKE LOVE. YOU WILL SOMEDAY EAT YOUR LAST MEAL, AND SOON THEREAFTER YOU WILL TAKE YOUR LAST BREATH.
