The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines frugality as "the quality or state of being frugal: careful management of material resources and especially money".
But, I would rather define frugality as "not spending ANY resources on things that don't mean much to YOU".
First: ANY resource - money, time, thinking etc. Why limit careful management only to material resources?
Second: meaning to YOU. What is wrong with spending all the resources on something that means a lot to you? Wouldn't not spending money on things that matter to you violate the essence of frugality?
